Artist Statement
Kelsey Overstreet is interested in process-based abstraction with conceptual wanderings, exploring mark making that represents both the celebration and the clean-up.
The work is an act of sensory sharing between the artist and observer and a blueprint of what it means to be human in the world today. Materials reflect relationships, conflict, connection, resolve, and beauty birthed from chaos.
